Geoff played a couple of parties with THE MOB after that, but his heart wasn't into heavy metal cover tunes. He was a big Peter Gabriel fan and wanted to write progressive music.

Inspired by the buzz they got at METALFEST, the 4 guys in THE MOB - Chris, Mike, Scott and Eddie - started a 5 day a week rehearsal schedule in Scott's parent's garage where they had built a studio to work on writing original music. It seemed like we hardly ever saw them anymore.

At the time, I was trying to reform JOKER with the former lead singer who was my best friend at the time. We weren't really that serious about practicing ourselves. Our concerns had to do mainly with the next party and the next girl.
